What we keep about you, why, and for how long.
Last updated 25 September 2026.
What we keep
- Your account - name, email address, a scrambled (hashed) password, and when you signed up and last signed in.
- Your licence - the key, when it expires, and for each browser it runs in: a random id the add-on makes up, the version, the game world, the IP address it last checked in from and when.
- Your orders - amount, date and status. Card details go to Stripe, our payment processor, and never reach us.
- Support chats - the messages you send and the page you started from.
- Sign-in sessions - the browser and IP address, so you can see and end them from your account page.
What the add-on sends
Only what it needs to check your licence: your key, the random browser id, its version and your world. It does not send your game password, your villages, your settings, or anything it sees in the game. Your plans and settings stay in your browser.
Why
To provide the service you paid for (contract), to keep records the law requires (legal obligation), and to stop licences being shared (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
Cookies
Four, all necessary: one that keeps you signed in, one that protects forms from forgery, one that remembers your support chat, and one that carries a short message such as "Saved." from one page to the next for a minute. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Who else sees it
Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and our email provider, each only as far as they need to do their job.
How long
Account data until you delete your account. Orders and invoices for as long as tax law requires (usually 7-10 years), without the link to your deleted account. Support chats for two years.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details on your account page, and delete your account there too. For a copy of everything we hold, or any other request, write to support@tribal.cx. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
